Location: British Columbia & Baja California
Dave has an extensive history in the kayak industry ranging over 35 years going back to his early days at the Necky Kayaks factory where he found his passion for kayaking which has included touring, whitewater, surf and racing. Fast forward to the present and he is a well respected paddlesports sales rep in Western Canada for an array of reputable brands.
He keeps his life lean and mobile, and so does not have much room to spare either in or on his overlander for a 16-ft touring kayak. After coming across a TRAK 2.0 by happenstance and having the opportunity to take it for a test paddle, he realized that it met his demanding requirements on both the portability and performance front. To quote Dave, "The TRAK 2.0 is the best touring kayak I've ever paddled in terms of a combination of versatility and performance AND it fits in a bag!!".
In addition to that experience, he is also happy to see other paddlers flourish when they are able to test a unique product and make up their own mind on whether it is right for them - offering guidance along the way. Now two TRAK 2.0s join him on his annual migrations between BC and BC - that is, British Columbia and Baja California!
